About

Jule Siewerth, born in 1999 in southern Germany, is a self-taught artist who now lives in Basel. She began expressing herself artistically as a child and has steadily deepened her practice over time. She pursued painting with particular passion and now works primarily in an expressive, abstract style using acrylics and oil pastels.

For her, abstraction represents a break with classical norms, which is also reflected in her life journey: in 2026, she decided to end her previous career path to devote herself entirely to art. This need for liberation developed over the years and eventually became inevitable.

Her works play with light and shadow and capture moments in which time seems to stand still. She has always been fascinated by the ambivalence of emotions: the heaviness of darkness in contrast to the hopeful glimmers of light that lend depth to life.

Through her works, Jule Siewerth creates sanctuaries that invite the viewer to lose themselves in the composition and rediscover their own memories within it.
